One of Walker’s seniors, Channing Arnold, was placed first at the Marietta quad meet with 12.54 seconds in the 100 meters.

She also placed first in the long jump with a mark of 17 1/2 inches, the fifth-longest jump in the state in so far this season.

She first started track her sophomore year at Walker just for fun.

Channing said, “I had no idea I would break any record, but I think it’s cool to see how far I’ve come.”

She enjoys track and thinks she has even more to give, stirring up excitement about her future with this sport.
