Vini Lafita, a sophomore, recently joined the Walker varsity football team. His main sport is soccer, so having that in mind, Coach TJ Anderson asked him to be the football team’s kicker. Lafita decided to take Coach Anderson up on his offer and decided to give football a try! When asked what his favorite part of being on the team was, Vini says, “I like the energy before every game and the pep talks that the coaches have with us.” Coach Anderson has had his eye on Lafita since last year. Vini says, “This year, I wasn’t 100% sure if I was interested in playing, but everyone kept asking me, so I joined. I talked to Coach Anderson, and he said that he would really appreciate me being on the team, and I was glad to help out”.
