I interviewed The Walker School’s New 9th and 10th grade math teacher today. His name is Griffin Larkin, and he teaches algebra and geometry in 9th and 10th grade. I asked him four questions so everyone could get to know him. Here are his answers.
- The first question is what’s your favorite topic to teach in math and why?” I like teaching circles. I think when you dive into how a circle works, like where pie comes from and the relationship between pie and how it comes about interesting as a concept.”.
- The Second question I asked was what’s your favorite part of walker. My favorite part is the students. “I like the diversity. I truly appreciate the diversity of the Walker students. I appreciate the work ethic the walker students have. I appreciate the executive functioning that walker students have, and overall, I have just been impressed with the students .”
- My third question was what you like to do for fun in your free time. “I like to play golf, go on runs, and work out, and in my free time, I like to play video games and spend time with my dog, wife, and friends.”
- My final question to get to know Mr. Larkin was: What is your favorite sport, and who is your favorite player? “My favorite sport is golf. Who is your favorite golf player? My favorite golf player is Scottie Scheffler. I like him because he is the best golfer in the world right now.”
