In an effort to boost sales and to bring customers “back to Starbucks,” the coffee company is retiring some of its least popular drink items from its menu. Starting March 4th, these beverages will be removed off the menu:
- Espresso Frappuccino
- Caffe Vanilla Frappuccino
- Java Chip Frappuccino
- White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino
- Chai Creme Frappuccino
- Caramel Ribbon Crunch Creme Frappuccino
- Double Chocolaty Chip Creme Frappuccino
- Chocolate Cookie Crumble Creme Frappuccino
- White Chocolate Creme Frappuccino
- White Hot Chocolate
- Royal English Breakfast Latte
- Iced Matcha Lemonade
- Honey Almond Milk Flat White
If you’re worried about your favorite drink being removed, don’t be! You can still order some of the drinks—they just won’t be listed on the menu. Here is a list of alternative options:
- Espresso Frappuccino, Caffè Vanilla Frappuccino: Starbucks suggests trying the Coffee Frappuccino, where you can customize it to add a shot of espresso or pump of syrup.
- Java Chip Frappuccino: Instead, Starbucks suggests the Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino.
- White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino: Starbucks says to try its Mocha Frappuccino as an alternative.
- Chai Crème Frappuccino, Caramel Ribbon Crunch Crème Frappuccino, Double Chocolaty Chip Crème Frappuccino, Chocolate Cookie Crumble Crème Frappuccino, and White Chocolate Crème Frappuccino: Starbucks suggests ordering the Vanilla Bean Frappuccino or the Strawberry Frappuccino. To customize further, you can add a pump of syrup.
- White Hot Chocolate: The Hot Chocolate can be modified with Mocha or White Chocolate Mocha sauce to drink as an alternative, free of charge. This item will still be available, just not on the menu.
- Royal English Breakfast Latte: Starbucks recommends its London Fog Latte instead.
- Iced Matcha Lemonade: Starbucks recommends its Green Tea Lemonade as an alternative, which has similar citrus and grassy notes. However, they will keep their matcha on the menu, so you will still be able to order this drink.
- Honey Almondmilk Flat White: Starbucks suggests ordering the Flat White, which can be customized with any nondairy milk and sweetener of choice.
While some drinks will be retiring, Starbucks is reintroducing its beloved Lavender beverages, along with the new Cherry Chai and the Jalapeño Chicken Pocket, making an entrance this spring.
