KENDRICK AND SZA HEATING UP GEORGIA

Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s Grand National Tour stop at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium on April 29, 2025, was a spectacle. Drawing a crowd of 45,000, me included, the show raised the heat in GA as we get closer and closer to the summer!

Lamar’s set was a cinematic exploration of rivalry and identity, featuring a black Buick GNX and multimedia songs referencing his huge feud with Drake. Performances of tracks like “Not Like Us” and “Euphoria” were iconic as fans shouted so loudly I could barely hear and compose myself.

In contrast, SZA transformed the stage into a natural wonderland. Her ascent on a giant ant during “Garden” and flight in butterfly wings enchanted the show like a fantasy land. When she shouted, “Even if I’m not supposed to perform this song, I don’t care, I will do it anyway,” and started singing, I screamed as loud as I could. It was her song “Nobody Likes Me”, such a DIVA.

The duo’s chemistry shone during their joint performances, especially on the chart-topping “Luther,” blending Lamar’s leap with SZA’s melodies. The evening concluded with both artists descending beneath the stage in the Buick GNX, leaving me in awe.
