Jimmy Buffett was loved by many and it was tough hearing about his death on September 1, 2023. He is well known for his tropical-rock music or “island escapism”. Some of his most popular songs are Margaritaville, Changes in Latitude, and Cheeseburger in Paradise. He even has a hotel chain named after his song, Margaritaville, in places like Florida, New York, California, Mexico, and Costa Rica.

He first started out as a country music singer in Nashville, Tennessee, but later began a more Jamaican style. His fans are called parrot heads or parakeets for younger children, and many fans wear Hawaiian shirts. In 1989, the first Parrot Head club was founded in Atlanta.

Not only did he write his songs, but he also co-wrote other famous songs such as Knee Deep and It’s 5 o’clock Somewhere. Overall, Jimmy lived a wonderful life and will be missed by all his fans!
