This long-standing tradition, the senior parade, is coming up this Friday, May 3, 2024. Students, faculty, and families line up around the school’s parking lot to watch and celebrate Walker’s seniors’ success and where they are going to college. May 3rd is also the official college commitment day when seniors officially commit to what college they’re going to. In the parade, seniors decorate their cars and wear their college shirts. Senior girls traditionally wear a kahi skirt and decorate it according to their college choice. Many seniors throw candy, snacks, and beads to everyone along the parade route. Many students, families, and faculty make posters and wear college apparel.
