WALKER UPPER SCHOOL PUFFS PLAY OVERVIEW

Recently, the Walker drama team hosted about 5 showings of a play called “Puffs.” The play itself is a comedy, and a spoof of Harry Potter, but from the perspectives of the Hufflepu … I mean Puffs(we don’t want any lawsuits). I had the pleasure of being a part of this play as well! I was the soundboard operator, allowing me to get a good look at the play’s creation and showings. Dozens of people participated in the play, and everyone did really well! Despite the large number of people who helped, there were only a few actors, and each of them constantly switched roles while each character was well-defined and easily recognizable.

The play is about a young boy, Wayne, and his extraordinary experience at a “certain wizarding school of magic and magic” and his attempts to fit in, make friends, and do something important with his life. Along the way, he meets plenty of characters, some of them you might recognize from a certain other story. His experience parallels Harry’s, and while Wayne thinks he is a protagonist of the story, he comes to learn that the world can be harsh, and that not everyone can be a protagonist. He has thrilling adventures as he tries to survive all seven years with his friends, and at the end.. well, I guess you’ll just have to watch it yourself to find out!
