The Roosters are a five-piece band based out of Marietta, Georgia. Current members, including Crosby Dunman (‘26) and Sam Miller (‘26), are students at The Walker School.
The band began in early 2025, when all members came together and started playing in Sam Miller’s basement. The band blended jazz, indie, and rock to create unique music now streaming on Spotify, with their debut single garnering 4,500 streams. After releasing their first song, Maybe Tomorrow, they made a name for themselves by covering songs and playing their own at frats, bars, and local events. These shows allowed the band to create a name and expand their fan base across Marietta.

While balancing academics with rehearsals, writing, and performances. The Roosters are a great example of balancing school with pursuing their interests beyond the classroom.
In the future, the Roosters show no signs of slowing down. With original music and big hit covers, the band is set to continue growing both professionally and creatively. As they continue to build their base, they create an example of what you can do with dedication and collaboration, all while managing the workload of school.
