TWS SOCCER SEASON RECAP

Walker Soccer has been a rollercoaster on both sides of the game. Girls with an unfortunate start to the season began their comeback winning streak with an 8-0 win over McEachern High School. Whilst the boys’ team was on a season roll. Girls finished their season with an 8-9 record. Managing to pull through some wins with the sick and injury-filled season. Unfortunately, in a well-fought match versus Aquinas High School, Walker finished their season in the round of 32, 2-1.

However, things for the boys’ soccer teams were in fact looking up, with a 12-6 season. TWS boys varsity soccer had a great season, competing against tough opponents, posting impressive scores, and attending a Tennessee tournament, winning and losing one.

This year, they made it to the second round of the playoffs, pulling out a last-minute win over our rivals, Mount Paran. Unfortunately, they lost a hard, emotion-filled game to Hebron in the round of 16, 3-2.

In the end, despite all the hardships both teams faced, this season has been historic on both sides and will forever be remembered by students and everyone supporting the TWS soccer program.
