Friday, November 11, the Walker Varsity football team will be traveling to Rome Georgia to compete in the first round of state playoffs against the Darlington tigers. The 2016 Varsity football team is the 3rd in Walker’s history that has made it to the State playoffs. The team qualified for the state playoffs after beating Gordon Lee last Friday in Chickamauga. After a pep rally today at break, the student body, cheerleaders, and football players are all excited to hopefully bring home a win tonight. Many students will be making the hour-long trek to Darlington on a Walker fan bus.
