One of the best parts of Christmas and the holiday season is the movies so make sure your candy canes are in mint condition, the fire is roaring (but not too bad to where Santa cannot stop by) and watch one of these top five holiday movies.
5. The Polar Express (2004)
The story of a non-Santa believer’s journey to the North Pole has captivated adults and children alike for over a decade. One of the first presents I can remember receiving was a robe just like the boy’s complete with a hole in the pocket. Always a hit, this movie is a safe bet to watch with the family.
4. Home Alone (1990)
An oldie but a goodie, Home Alone is perfect for a gathering of old friends and people born before 1995. A young boy named Kevin fights off a pair of burglars attempting to rob his seemingly empty house. Armed with household items and the mind of a child, Kevin saves his home with the help of his neighbor.
3. A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)
Regardless of age, everyone loves the Peanuts (well, almost everyone). Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang returns in the hunt to find the perfect Christmas tree however small it may be while learning the Christmas story along the way. From Sally yelling “Hockey stick!” instead of “Hark!” to Snoopy decorating his dog house, this Christmas favorite is sure to delight the family.
2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1966)
From the oldest down the youngest little whos, people have always loved the story of the Grinch and how his heart grew three sizes that Christmas day. The true meaning of Christmas and the spirit of giving is alive and well in this classic by Dr. Seuss
1.Elf (2003)
My personal favorite, the adventures of Buddy the Elf and his quest to find his father in a faraway land called New York City is and always will be amazing. The whole family will be laughing from start to finish and perhaps even singing too because “the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.”
