Every March, over two thousand students from all over the world visit Berkeley to participate in the Model United Nations simulation. This event has been going on for six decades, and this year is the 68th anniversary. The purpose of the simulation is to help spread high school students awareness about international issues. Also, it gives these students an experience where they can further there public speaking and debating skills.

On Friday March 6th, nineteen of our students and two teachers were going to fly to the University of California, Berkeley to participate in the United Nations simulation. Unfortunately, no one would be traveling to UC Berkeley due to the concerns of coronavirus being brought to the school from people traveling from all over the world. This is unfortunate because the students who were supposed to participate in the simulation spent weeks preparing for this event and received no credit for the work they had done.
