Omar Cooper, Chandler Baker, and Burke Chebuhar are first-year high school students balancing academics and varsity basketball. The three have been playing  basketball together since sixth grade and are excited to have the opportunity to play on varsity with seniors Jake Shore and Samuel Bush. After last year’s season, the team lost assets Ben Snavley, Avery Eikost, Spencer Paladino, and Robert Baker.

These three freshmen have been preparing for basketball season with early morning shooting twice a week before school and weight room workouts since fall. Burke says that “we do a lot of running, but I like going to practice every day.” In addition to Walker basketball, Burke and Chandler play travel baseball and Omar plays AAU basketball. Come out and watch these three “newbies” take the court!
