In the eastern part of the world, there has been panic about a new deadly outbreak known as the coronavirus. This virus is extremely dangerous because the statistics have had a remarkable increase in a short amount of time. For example, the number of people that have been found dead from the virus jumped in a matter of 24 hours. Also, the number of cases also spiked from 2,744 to 4,515 in a matter of 2 days. With these statistics, the U.S. has decided to evacuate Americans from the locked-down epicenter of the epidemic. The outbreak is believed to have begun in Wuhan, China which has a population of about 11 million people. Since the outbreak, the city has been put on lock down to contain the virus. However, the state department plans on sending a chartered flight to take back to the U.S. government personnel stationed in the city.

The state department told NBC News that as space becomes available on the plane, seats will also be offered to some private U.S. citizens, priority to those who are most at risk of contracting the virus if they were to stay in Wuhan. The plan was bound to leave Wuhan on Wednesday.
