Seniors Charlie Condon and Linden Patterson committed to play college athletics. Condon committed to the University of Georgia for baseball, and Patterson committed to Davidson College for tennis.
Condon verbally committed to the University of Georgia on October 21st and signed on November 11th. Besides being a baseball standout, he is also a two-year starter at quarterback for the football team. When asked why he chose UGA, Condon said, “I chose the University of Georgia because it has always been at the top of my list of schools with or without athletics. Athens is an awesome town, and the school is strong academically as well. I have always wanted to compete at the highest level, and playing in the SEC will be the most competitive environment. So when I found out I would have the opportunity to play at UGA, it was an easy decision for me to make.”
Patterson verbally committed to Davidson College on June 30th and signed on November 11th. Patterson was a part of the Walker girls tennis state championship in 2018. When asked why she chose Davidson, Patterson said, “I chose Davidson because it is a perfect balance of academics, athletics, and community, all of which are extremely important to me. When I met the team and coaches, they immediately made me feel welcome and supported. I can’t imagine a more perfect fit.”
