The Boys Basketball team, led by Coach Brickhouse, has made Walker history: for the first time ever, they have reached the Final Four. Finishing the regular season 22-5 and finishing region play 12-3.

They started the playoffs at home against Athens Academy. In that first-round playoff game, Walker started their playoff run very hot, winning 71-51. After this home victory, our crowd made their way over to Hebron Christian. Making a thrilling game to watch, Walker was down 47-38 through the 3rd quarter. They clawed back to tie the game 68-68 at the end of regulation. After this, Walker and Hebron both scored 5 points in the first overtime. Walker was able to pull out the win 71-69 after a double Overtime thriller.

After a very long and hard-fought game, the Wolverines headed to the elite eight against North Cobb Christian. The Student section was loud, the gym was filled, and Walker was off to a hot start, going up 4 at halftime, 26-22. Then, during the 4th quarter, something clicked for them even more, as they outscored the Eagles 26-10 in the last quarter. The final score was 64-44 in favor of the Wolverines, and they were off to the State Final Four against Holy Innocents.

The Final Four didn’t work out in the Wolverines’ favor, losing 63-47. They created History and became the first basketball team in Walker History to reach the Final Four.
