Chalktoberfest 2016

Chalktoberfest is an annual event held at The Marietta Square where artists and amateurs display their skills. The Walker art club participated in Chalktoberfest for the first time last year and brought home 1st place for their drawing of a Wolverine leaping out of the ground. The theme this year for the professional artists is ‘old masters,’ however amateurs could draw whatever they wished. This year the art club chose to draw “Blam” by Roy Lichtenstein. They first drew the picture onto a piece of cardboard and cut out a stencil so they could get everything done with their limited time. The Walker art club worked hard on the picture and took home first place for the second year in a row.
