What’s Next for the Seniors of The Wolverine

Jack Jones is headed to The College of Wooster to continue both his academic and baseball careers. His favorite memories are having the opportunity to co-anchor a broadcast and traveling with the group over to Tip Top. Jack is most excited to meet his new teammates at Wooster, continue pitching at the college level, and study history.

Kendall Baker will be playing Division 1 soccer and studying sports medicine at Kennesaw State University next year. Kendall says that she will miss the comradery that can be found in the journalism room, and the close friendships that she has developed. She cannot wait to make new friends and travel with the soccer team as well as visit her friends.

David Kahn is going the University of Tennessee next year. For now he is undecided, but is considering majoring in sports management. David will miss hanging out with some of his best friends in the journalism classroom. But, he cannot wait to cheer on the Vols every Saturday and sing Rocky Top; he does not plan to miss a football game!

Jesse Baynes is UGA bound! Everyone’s favorite anchor will be pursuing journalism at the University of Georgia. She is going to miss the process of brainstorming and making the broadcasts, and showing them to the Upper School during special assemblies. Jesse is excited to meet new people, potentially rush for a sorority, and dive into the Athens music scene.

I am headed to the Univerity of Washington and Lee to hopefully continue studying broadcast journalism and be on the pre-law track. I have spent four years with The Wolverine, and will always look back fondly on making the transition of taking the newspaper from print, to online. I am looking forward to living in beautiful Virginia and continuing my journalism journey.
