Daybreak makes itself known and unique because of its interesting situation among the zombie apocalypse. All kids (at least in California) survived the nuke while all adults turned into zombies. Nobody knows how or why this happened, but every kid is trying to survive from the zombies, adults and kids, that turned into savages. The main character Josh (2nd from right) looks throughout the entire apocalypse to find his dream girl, Sam.

Another thing that makes this show so great is the characters. Josh gets joined by a ragtag group of misfits, including a pyromaniac 12 year old, Angelica and Josh’s former high school bully, Wesley, now turned pacifist samurai. Josh and the group try to stay alive amidst the horde of Mad Max-style gangs (evil jocks, cheerleaders turned Amazon warriors), providing an immense amount of engaging and colorful characters.
